Welcome to the Haitzmanns! We are happy to be your hosts at the Vital- & Familienhotel Angerwirt. With a lot of heart we run our businesses already in the 4th generation and are supported by our hardworking employees. But who are the personalities behind our company and how did it all start at the beginning of the 20th century? We'll be happy to tell you about it.

How it began
In the mid-thirties Josef Haitzmann buys together with his son Hubert the "Gasthof zum Anger" and lays the foundation for today's hotel.
1967
Our grandparents, Hermine and Hubert, take over the business and begin to renovate the inn piece by piece. For many locals it is the second living room. Grandpa can always be found behind the bar and at the regulars' table in the guest room, a huge round table. But the really important issues are discussed and debated at the small table in the pub kitchen - at the unofficial, "secret" regulars' table, so to speak. So Grandma Mina and Great Grandma Oga always know everything first.
1969/70
New things are always a welcome challenge for Hermine and Hubert: So they take a big step in terms of further development and expand the inn with accommodation facilities. They are thus among the first to rent guest rooms in Kleinarl at that time. The inn is one of the most modern vacation accommodations in the village. All rooms already have shower and toilet at that time.
1993
Thanks to their tireless diligence, they created a progressive business, which they happily passed on to the next generation in 1993: to our parents Elisabeth and Hubert.
1996
Our parents also enjoy further development and decide to demolish the older part of the inn in the spring of 1996 and replace it with a new building with comfortable apartments. The next generation, Katharina, Magdalena and Hubert, are also already helping diligently in the business.
2003
We see the topic of wellness as a great opportunity and are transforming our business into a modern 4-star hotel. The name should also do justice to this: Thus, from now on, our house bears the resounding name Vital- & Familienhotel Angerwirt.
2022
Hello, next generation: Our darling Matilda is born.
Today
That's us, Katharina and Christoph with Matilda - your hosts in the hotel and country house. We are also always trying to pamper our guests with even more comfort, so there are many things planned for the future. Let yourself be surprised!
